The Falcon HD Wireless Camera System is the Full HD kit in the range: a 1920 x 1080p wireless camera, a 7 inch AHD mirror monitor and built-in DVR recording, quoted at up to 50 metres between camera and monitor. It is supplied with one camera or with two, so a motorhome can watch the rear panel alone or the rear and the nearside together. Unlike the magnetic system, this camera takes a 12V permanent feed and stays where you fit it.
Unlike traditional dashboard-mounted monitors, the Falcon 7″ mirror monitor clips neatly over your existing rear view mirror, placing the live camera image exactly where most drivers naturally look when checking behind the vehicle. This makes it a practical and comfortable solution for everyday driving, motorway journeys, touring, reversing and maneuvering larger leisure vehicles.
The system is designed to improve visibility, reduce blind spots and make driving a motorhome or caravan setup feel more controlled and confident. Whether you are reversing onto a pitch, monitoring traffic behind you, changing lanes or keeping an eye on the rear of your vehicle while travelling, the Falcon HD Wireless Camera System delivers a clear, reliable image without the need to run a video cable from the rear camera to the monitor.
At the heart of the system is a Full HD 1920 × 1080p wireless camera, providing a crisp and detailed image of the road behind your vehicle. The camera features a 110° wide viewing angle, giving a broad rear view that is ideal for motorhomes, caravans and other larger vehicles where rear visibility is often limited.
Built-in infrared LEDs help improve visibility in low-light conditions and during night-time driving, giving you a clearer picture when natural light is reduced. This makes the system suitable for a wide range of driving situations, including evening arrivals at campsites, early morning departures and darker parking areas.
The wireless camera can achieve a connection distance of up to 50 meters between the camera and monitor, making it suitable for longer vehicles and towing setups. The camera requires a 12V permanent feed, either from the leisure battery or another suitable 12V permanent power source.
The included 7″ AHD mirror monitor clips over the existing rear view mirror in the vehicle or towing vehicle. This creates a familiar and natural viewing position, helping drivers avoid constantly looking down at a separate dashboard or media screen.
A key advantage of this model is the built-in DVR recording function. The monitor can record journeys and incidents directly to an SD storage card, making it useful not only as a rear view camera system but also as a journey recording and incident capture device. Recordings can be played back directly on the monitor or viewed later on a PC or Mac.
The system supports SD storage cards up to 512GB and is supplied with a 64GB card to help you get started straight away.
The Falcon 7″ mirror monitor can connect to up to four separate wireless cameras, with additional cameras available separately. This makes the system flexible for drivers who may want to add extra camera views in the future.
Depending on your setup, the monitor can display camera views in several formats, including loop view, split screen, triple screen and quad view. This is particularly useful for larger motorhomes, towing combinations or vehicles where multiple viewpoints may help with maneuvering and awareness.
The mirror monitor format suits motorhomes, caravans and campervans because rear visibility is often restricted when the vehicle is loaded or towing, and the monitor keeps the view in the place a driver already checks. If you would rather have a camera that carries its own battery and needs no wiring at the back, that is the other half of the rest of the camera range.
The mirror monitor format is especially well suited to motorhome and caravan use because it keeps the screen in an intuitive viewing position. Instead of adding a bulky extra monitor to the dashboard, the system uses the existing rear view mirror location, helping keep the cab area tidy and practical.
The monitor is detachable from the power connection, allowing it to be removed from the vehicle when not in use. This is a useful security feature, especially when your motorhome, caravan or towing vehicle is parked up for longer periods.
A protective storage and carry case is included, giving you a safe place to store the mirror monitor when it has been removed from the vehicle.
The Falcon HD Wireless Camera System is more than a reversing aid. It is a complete rear view and recording solution for leisure vehicle drivers who want greater awareness behind their vehicle and the reassurance of DVR journey recording.
Its combination of Full HD camera quality, wireless installation, mirror monitor convenience and expandable multi-camera support makes it a strong choice for motorhome, caravan and campervan owners looking for a reliable rear view camera system that feels natural to use.
To take the monitor off a cigarette socket and run it from the fuse board instead, add the hardwiring kit.
