QS65
The QS65 is the compact one. It is a flat panel dish measuring 43 cm square rather than a round dish on a tripod, and the whole system folds into a carry case of L 55 cm x W 45 cm x H 20 cm that goes in a locker. Everything needed to set it up and aim it is in that case. The television and the receiver are not.
Setting the elevation is a reading, not a guess. An alignment and elevation device sits on the back of the dish and gives you the angle directly, and the Deluxe version adds a signal finder for the case where your receiver has no preset channel list to lock onto.
It works with any television that has a satellite tuner built in, including the Falcon WebOS range, and with a separate free-to-air receiver. If you do not have one, a 12V free-to-air receiver can be supplied as an option in standard or high definition. Which satellite you aim at, and what arrives from it where you are parked, is decided by the receiver and by your position rather than by the dish, so settle the line-up you want first.
QS80
The QS80 is the larger of the two, and it uses a flat panel rather than a traditional round 80 cm dish, so it is easier to handle and easier to stow for the size. A bigger collecting area gathers more signal, which counts for more the further you travel. Like the QS65 it comes with everything except the television and the receiver, and the Deluxe version includes a signal finder.
It carries the same alignment and elevation device on the rear of the dish. The QS80 adds one useful thing the QS65 does not have: it relays the television sound to a speaker built into the dish, so you can hear the set come to life as you turn it and do not need a second person calling out from inside the vehicle.
It works with any television that has a satellite tuner built in and with a separate free-to-air receiver, and the optional 12V receiver is available in standard or high definition. It is supplied in its own carry case holding everything needed to set up and aim it.
Part of the portable satellite range. What you can watch is decided by the receiver, so a television with a built-in satellite tuner is the simplest pairing.
